 Bloodroot's
feminist bookstore has a uniquely personal touch. Selma and Noel have
avidly read and discussed women's books and periodicals for 30 years.
Because the women of the Bloodroot Collective have not only read the
majority of books that fill their bookstore's shelves, but have also met
many of the authors, they are able to provide insightful and knowledgeable
recommendations on any topic of interest.
The Bookstore is open during the
same hours as the restaurant, which
provides diners the opportunity to explore what's on the shelves while
waiting for their meals to be prepared.
Book categories include: fiction,
lesbian fiction, feminism, holistic healing, cooking, craftwork, poetry,
humor, children's and young adult books. A variety of women's music,
jewelry, magazines and journals are also available.
You will also find a list of Selma's
favorite books hanging on clipboards in each respective section of the
bookstore, or you can ask to receive other recommendations. |
